Beck Engineering Partner in the Development of DNV Acoustic Inspection Technology

Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has joined with Gassco to develop a new acoustic inspection method which allows the internal and external status of gas pipelines to be accurately characterised. Beck Engineering AS has designed and built the electronic housing as well as the test-pig for this operation.

- This project marks our successful introduction to the pigging market, says Head of Development Esben Beck.

Beck Engineering aims to become a key player and developer within the pipetech market. We are very pleased to be part of DNV's acoustic inspection technology project. - In line with our strategy, we are now present in three major pipetech segments; Pigging, Crawlers and on-shore water mains, says Managing Director Eystein Hanssen.
